“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ― H. Jackson Brown Jr., P.S. I Love You
As a child growing up in Spanish Town, Jamaica, I always dreamed of seeing the world. Whenever planes flew over, I often imagined where the people onboard were coming from or where they may be going, and I would think, “One day I’ll get to see those destinations myself”. I couldn’t wait to grow up to start making my own money and traveling the world with my friends.
As I grew older, I quickly realized that things were not quite going according to how I imagined them. By the time I could rub two coins together for a trip, I couldn’t get friends to agree on the same trip schedule, destination and even budget. So aside from a Spring Break trip to Cancun, Mexico, jetting off to see the world with my friends wasn’t working out 😢😢😢 .
However, a destination-wedding invitation to Chile (a country that was no where on my radar) and a volcanic eruption during that trip changed up the game. The trip was EVERYTHING, and before it came to its scheduled end, I got an opportunity to extend my stay at no additional cost - room and food covered, all while earning flight credits for future trips. Win and win. My passion for travel and adventure was set on fire and everything that was an obstacle to seeing the world was incinerated in the process.
Fast-forward to today, I now reside in a permanent state of wanderlust. I am fulfilling my childhood dream and for the most part I am doing it solo. When people ask me, what countries are remaining on my bucket-list, my only response is, “ALL OF THEM!” I would love to get to know and experience the world for everything that it is and for everything that it is not. And when I have seen it all… I want to see it again! I am already obsessed with meeting new people, dining out, history and foreign culture, and nothing brings all these together like travel.
So, if like me, you have an insatiable hunger for adventure and travel, this portion of the blog is especially for you. While traveling has been exciting and exhilarating it has become more than “instagramable” moments for me. I hope my posts will become a source of inspiration and resource for you as you consider what to do during your next vacation.
The Dublin Marathon is known as the world’s friendliest marathon and I would have to agree. Crowds lined the length of the 26.2-mile course, cheering the runners on and providing much-needed support. Along the route colorful signs and smiling faces gave much needed encouragement. They came with treats, called out to runners by name and ran over to assist anyone who looked like they needed help.
While the recipe for KFC may be the same, the taste tends to vary from country to country. For this reason, KFC aficionados frequently debate on the subject of what country has the best tasting KFC. From where I sit, the KFC taste debate has been particularly intense between the Jamaica KFC and the Trinidad & Tobago KFC delegations and/or their supporters. Both constituencies believe they have the best tasting KFC worldwide.
Know that this marathon is not like the regular marathons. It is tough. It is challenging. It is the toughest marathon I have completed so far. I am not even sure they should be allowed to just call it a “marathon.” Something like “endurance marathon” better describes the experience, mentally and physically. Plus that high you get when you actually finish…unmatched! The only thing missing with a copy of red stripe to celebrate.
Frequent flyer miles have become an invaluable asset for travelers, offering a range of benefits such as free flights, upgrades, and exclusive perks. Unfortunately, with the increasing prevalence of cybercrime, the theft of frequent flyer miles and loyalty points has become a pressing concern. Scammers can easily purchase frequent flyer account usernames and passwords on the dark web due to numerous data breaches in which this sensitive info was compromised. With an estimated 14 trillion frequent flier miles and hotel points floating around unused, scammers have a very large, lucrative target in America’s hard-earned miles. In this blog post, I will explore the growing issue of frequent flyer mile theft and provide you with essential tips and strategies to protect your hard-earned rewards.
When it comes to vacation planning, securing the best prices is a top priority for most travelers. However, many online travel websites employ dynamic pricing algorithms that can lead to price discrimination, where different users are presented with different prices for the same products or services. To combat this, using in-private browsing or incognito mode can be a valuable tool. In-private browsing helps safeguard your privacy, prevents websites from tracking your previous searches, and allows you to access more neutral pricing information. In this article, we'll explore how utilizing in-private browsing can empower you to find the best deals while ensuring a fair and unbiased vacation planning experience.

New Zealand airlines is asking passengers to weigh in before their flights. In recent times, a circular advisory by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sparked some discussion in the US about airlines collecting and knowing the weight of passengers for flights. This concern has been exacerbated by increased obesity rates in certain parts of the world. While the passenger weigh-in practice is not common for the standard check-in process, there are valid reasons why airlines may need to estimate or collect average passenger weights. This blog post aims to shed light on the significance of airlines knowing passenger weight for flights and how it influences various aspects of aviation operations.

Budapest is the perfect destination for a running trip. I recommend it wholeheartedly. As the spa capital, there are well over 100 thermal springs beneath the city that supply the famous baths. After the run, your recovery plan can include resting in the thermal pools of a unique 16th and 17th century Turkish baths or the neo-baroque Szechenyi bath.
